Ardy Eaton has generously donated a queen size quilt for the GLR Children’s Auction to Tagg Team, valued at $1,000, but really priceless! Ardy began her passion of quilting in 1990. Over the past 30 years, she has shared her creativity with friends in MA, ME and Gilford, NH, and with students in her Laconia Adult Education sewing classes. As a member of the Gilford Old Home Day Committee, she has coordinated their annual quilt raffle, designing and sewing quilts with other community-minded quilters.
The 76x90” queen size quilt is made from 100% cotton fabric, batting and thread. Quilted by Shirley York of Waterford, ME, the nine patch pattern consists of Kafe Fasset and Free Spirit fabrics in every color of the rainbow! This traditional pattern was transformed into a modern design. The simple flowing line of over stitching completes the quilt with a bright variegated thread matching the rich fabric colors.
