On Sunday October 10th, the homeowners of South Down Shores held their
first annual walkathon to benefit the Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction. The spirited group, including South Down Shores president Steve Murfitt and Recreational Committee chairwoman Melody Strout, enjoyed a beautiful fall morning walking 5K around the South Down Shores and Long Bay communities. They were met at the finish line by Greater Lakes Region Children's Auction Board Vice Chair, Bob Glassett, for a brief ceremony and check presentation.
